Starting With Craps

The craps table is one that seriously scares a lot of people. At any given moment, there are about ten people around the table, all yelling things that the novice player doesn’t understand. While there may be a few other games that make people feel the same way, there are very few that are on the same level as craps. This is a game that utilizes a lot of terms that the average player doesn’t understand, and that’s something that takes a lot of people out of the game before they even play it. Fortunately, the game is something that’s really simple, and there’s a good chance that a player will walk out a winner if they play accordingly.

One of the first things that a player should do is to make a very small pass line bet. This way, they’ll be getting their feet wet without too much of a commitment. If the dice fall on a 7 or 11, they have won. Alternatively, if the dice fall on a 2, 3, or 11, they have lost the bet and their investment. If the throw is any other number, it’s called a point, and it must be hit again before a 7 if the person is to win the game. If a seven is thrown before the point, the bet is lost and the dice are now in control of the next shooter. One of the most important things that any person could tell another regarding the game is to insure that they only make informed decisions, and most importantly, don’t make any bet that they may be uncomfortable with.

Craps is not the hardest game to play, and even though it is rifled with unknown lingo, it’s definitely worthwhile.
